The Book of Philippians is an illustration of what Apostle Paul’s sufferings, trials and tribulations were. He was shipwrecked, stoned, beaten, insulted, ridiculed and falsely accused went through, but yet he tells us to rejoice always and in call conditions.
This is what some people are presently confronted with today. People losing loved ones to this pandemic, losing jobs, financial hardship, and other emotional and mental burdens that goes with the trends of present difficult circumstances. Some people are on the verge of been evicted from their homes, children are committing suicide, family are been torn apart.
We are in times Jesus described Matthew 21:25-28. But in all of these, the scriptures tells us to rejoice.
“Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice! Philippians 4:4(AMP)
He tells us not to be worried or anxious concerning anything. Anxieties is very prevalent in world today, both in secular and non-secular arena. Bible instructs us to cast our care on Him, and the Apostle Paul is reiterating what Jesus said:
“28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:28-29(KJV)
The LORD God wants us to keep our firmly focused on Him, as we journey through life..He promises to keep us in perfect peace, when we keep our eyes placed on Him, and peace is a commidity that we are can use plenty of now.
He has promised to help us if we lift up our eyes to His hill. He says He'll never leave us nor forsake, we we go through wilderness phases of life, He'll be with us and we go through trouble waters, they will not overwhelm us.
Let's take God for His Word, He's not a man that would lie or renegade on whatever He says to us...He's faithful and just in all HIs ways.
I pray for you, that you'll not leat your heart be troubled, but rather rejoice, and praise God in the difficult times trust God. Do not let your heart be troubled or afraid, and fear. Believe confidently in God and trust in Him, stand in faith, hold on to it, rely on it, keep going and believe also in Jesus also. - John 14:1.
We serve a God whose steadfast are new every morning, His mercies never comes to an end, because they are new every morning for you. His sufficient grace will carry you through the difficult time.
