There are conditions to seeking God. You must be diligent in that search. You must have faith in His sovereignty. You must believe in His attributes (Capabilities). You must believe He's healer if you're trusting Him for healing. You must believe He's is provider, if you trusting Him for provisions. You must believe He's a Man of war, if you trusting Him to fight your battles. These are some of His attributes.
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. - Hebrews 11:6(KJV)
What does seeking the LORD involved?
- You must come by faith in Him.
- Believe in His abilities.
- You must be willing to wait on Him patiently.
- It means, you must be willing to incline your ears to hear from Him, & follows His instructions.
- You must be in His perfect will and walk in His ways, & not lean to your understanding.
Waiting on God is the one area where Believers are struggling. In this fast paced age where everything is readily available, with lots of things demanding our time and attention, we tend to have this Drive-Through mentality with God, and because of that men now end up frustrated and discouraged, thinking God is not answering them.
God told us His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. As the heaven is higher than the earth, so is His ways higher than our ways, so if God is going to do anything in your life, He's going to do it His way. His might seem to be taking too long, but in the end it's better and bigger than anything you could have imagined.
The reason why we’re so much in a hurry in the presence of God, is because we’re so focused on what tomorrow will be like, and not enjoying the present time – today! Always in a rush. We don't get the enjoy His Presence, and because we rush in and out of His Presence, we don't build and develop and meaningful relationship with Him.
Jesus said: “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” – Matthew 6:34.
The Children of Israel knew God's acts, not His ways. Moses knew His ways and that why, he's always able to intercede for the people, every time God wants to release His wrath upon them, complaining, murmuring and rebelling against God.
Waiting on God is a one-on-one experience.
- It’s a place of rest & spiritual replenishment.
- It’s a place where our strength is renewed.
- It’s a place to receive instructions.
- It’s a place of reward filled with joy, and pleasures forever.
I pray you'll receive grace to seek God diligently.
