Our ability to choose set us apart from all God’s other creations. The ability to think, the grace, and wisdom to make choices that will enhance and move our lives forward, to fulfilling a glorious destinies.
Operating in godly wisdom comes from the Word of God. Joshua addressed the people, to make a choice based on what they know, their experience with God up till that point. The God that brought them through the wilderness. The God that defeated all the enemies of Israel. The God that parted the Jordan for them to cross into the Promised Land.
“15But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve…But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15
We must be very mindful of what we let our minds dwell on, it's has been proven, that our lives, move in the same direction as our thoughts. So, when we dwell on the goodness of God in the midst of chaos and crisis, we'll see God's goodness manifesting from that situation. He's the God that gives beauty for ashes.
The Bible tells us to guide our hearts with all diligence, because from out of it, comes the issues of life. "Guide your heart above everything else, because it DETERMINES the course or pathway, and direction of your life! Proverbs 4:23
What you let your mind dwell on determines the course of each day of your life. It determines if you'll enjoy a life of peace & joy.
- A life of hope & gladness.
- A life of goodness & favour.
- A life of progress, promotion & success.
- A life of health & wholeness.
- A life of greatness & accomplishment.
- A prospering, thriving, & flourishing life.
- A life of a hope & a great future.
The choice is YOURS: I encourage you to dwell on the promises in the Word of God for you, and give no place to the lies of the devil, by dwelling on your present circumstances. Look unto Jesus, the author and the finisher of your faith.
Just like Joshua, I urge you today, to choose what you let your mind dwell on. The direction you let your thoughts flow, is the direction in which your life will go.
