From the very beginning during creation, God declared: "And let there be light: and there was light."  Genesis 1:3

So when God said let there be light, He’s actually declaring for :

• His children to go fulfill purpose!
• To rise up & begin to shine!
• To light up our environment and surroundings daily
• Declaring us to go fulfil destiny, calling and our assignment.
• So, our good works is supposed to cause men to come to know the Father, through His Son Jesus Christ, and in so doing, He’s glorified!

  Not only is God declaring all of the above over us, He made it clear to us that we are the light of the world, according to His Word.

Matthew 5: 14-16 "¹⁴ Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. ¹⁵ Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. ¹⁶ Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

  As light, we're to brighten our environment, community, and everywhere that we come into. Darkness should never be present when we are around, because God created two great lights, the greater light to rule the day; and the lesser light to rule the night.  

John 1:5 "⁵ And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not."

So, as darkness cannot comprehend light, so also must forces of darkness give way when we come into a territory or a region.
